Colleen Chang
Colleen (Megley) Chang (Class of 2006) (she/her/hers) joined New York City Ballet's Education Department in 2018 and is currently the Associate Director of School Programs where she oversees their public-school partnerships, curricula, and teaching artists. She received her M.A. in Dance Education and Ballet Pedagogy from New York University’s Steinhardt School in partnership with American Ballet Theatre and her B.A. in Biology and Dance from Connecticut College. Previously, Colleen worked as the School Coordinator at Peridance Capezio Center where she also taught Creative Movement and Ballet as a faculty teacher. An American Ballet Theater National Training Curriculum certified teacher for levels Primary – Level 7 & Partnering, Colleen worked as a Test Proctor and Teaching Artist for American Ballet Theater where she helped to develop their ABT Tots Curriculum in partnership with The Children’s Museum of Manhattan. Colleen is currently a member of the Arts in Education Roundtable and formerly served as a member of their Programming Committee. At FSPA, Colleen studied ballet with Cheryl Madeaux along with other dance styles, voice with Hallie Wetzell, and toured Europe with Electric Youth. She danced many roles in Franklin Performing Arts Company’s
The Nutcracker (including Snow Queen) and played the title role in their production of
Cinderella.
